TEHRAN - Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has not yet removed any centrifuges at the Fordow or Natanz nuclear sites, AEOI spokesman has said.

Under the nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran should put a number of its centrifuges out of service for some ten years.

“We have only carried out preliminary steps in order to save time when we start implementing the JCPOA,” Behrooz Kamalvandi was quoted by IRNA as saying on Tuesday.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that Iran is ready for exchange of manpower with the European Union, Japan, China and other countries to cooperate on nuclear research and other fields.

AEOI's goal in nuclear negotiations was to minimize the limitations so that they would not deprive the country from nuclear technology, Kamalvandi said. He pointed out that Iran also wanted its enrichment program to be recognized and the sanctions to be terminated at the same time.

He noted that Iran gained what it wanted in the course of nuclear talks.
