Macedonian football team has shown interest to play friendly match with Iran national football team, according to Iran Football Federation president Ali Kafashian.

“Macedonia wants to play friendly game against us while a couple of notable Asian national teams are also interested in playing friendly games with Iran. We have not replied to these offers so far as Carlos Queiroz will have the final word on friendly games,” Kafashian said.
Previously, Norway has shown interest to play friendly with Iran.
Iran is first in Asia and 43th in the overall FIFA ranking while Norway is in 46th place and Macedonia is 139th.
The Persians have almost qualified for the third round of 2018 World Cup following a 6-0 win against Guam last week.
