TEHRAN – Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jaber Ansari has dismissed claims that Iran has made cyber attacks on the United States State Department.

“Iran has been victim of serious cyber attacks during the past years, but has not responded these illegal attacks by reciprocal cyber attacks,” he said on Friday.

He also slammed lack of an “efficient judicial system” at the international level to prevent and ban such attacks.

On November 24, New York Times claimed that there has been a surge in cyber attacks by Iran against the State Department officials over the past month.

In 2010, Iran’s industrial systems were targeted by a cyber attack and a complex computer worm dubbed Stuxnet infected many industrial sites in Iran.
