Thai Ambassador Bids Farewell to President Khatami

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Outgoing Thai Ambassador to Tehran Suphot Khaimuk here on Sunday called on President Mohammad Khatami to bid farewell to him.

According to Press Bureau of the Presidential Office, Khatami pointed to the position of Iran in the Middle East and Thailand in the Southeast Asian region and said expansion of bilateral relations would be in the interest of the two nations and countries.

He highlighted great potentials for cooperation and stressed promotion of mutual relations and cooperation in all fields.

Khaimuk, for his part, pointed to friendly bilateral relations and stressed the need for further consolidation of ties.
