TEHRAN (ISNA) – Iran trough expanding its fiberoptic network plans to extend its connections with the globe.

"Considering Iran's domestic capabilities in fiberoptics, we can be hopeful for connecting Iran and Iraq and other countries for communication transfer or reaching global internet gates," said Iran's Telecommunications Infrastructure Organization chief.

"We have reached Iraq with 5 fiberoptic links, and have announced our readiness to this country," he announced.
