JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will complete the first of its inspection trips to prospective African Nations Cup hosts when a five-man team ends a four-day visit to Angola on Wednesday.

The inspectors, who are to compile a report on the suitability of prospective hosts for the 2010 tournament, will travel on to Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, who are presenting a joint bid. After that they go to Nigeria and end their 20-day mission in Libya.

Their report will be sent to the CAF executive committee which will vote for the 2010 hosts at their meeting in Cairo in September.

Of the four candidates, only Nigeria has hosted a previous Nations Cup finals. Libya are bidding for the fourth successive time, having lost to Tunisia (2002), Egypt (2006) and Ghana, who host the next tournament in 2008.

CAF short listed the four bids in May after a record eight entries for the tournament which falls six months before the first World Cup finals to be hosted in Africa. Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal and Zimbabwe did not make the short list.
