TEHRAN -- A collection of lithography versions of books belonging to Qajar era will be put on display at “The Review of Visual Arts in 19th and 20th Centuries” exhibition at the Saba Artistic and Cultural Complex in central Tehran on June 19.

The books illustrated by Mirza Aliqoli Khoii have been loaned to the complex by private collectors Feryal Salahshur and Jahangir Kazeruni, who have been gathering rare artistic works from all over the world for over 30 years.

The collection includes the most important heritage of Iranian and Islamic culture and literature such as “One Thousand and One Nights”, Ferdowsi’s “Shahnameh”, Rumi’s “Masnavi”, and “Nasser ad-Din Shah’s Travelogues of Europe and Holy Shrines” that are invaluable sources for studying the history of lithography in Iran and their aesthetic aspects.
