Bilingual book to introduce five Arab poets

TEHRAN -- The bilingual book “Modern Arab Poetry” introducing five prominent Arab poets will be published by the Elmi-Farhangi Publications, the Mehr News Agency reported on Saturday.

Selected by Iranian poet and translator Musa Bidaj, the collection contains poetry by the Syrian poet Nazar Kabani, Syrian poet and playwright Muhammad al-Maghut, Palestinian poet Mahmud Darvish, Syrian poet Adonis (Ali Ahmad-Said), and the Syrian novelist and poetess, Ghada al Samman.

The book will be published in three volumes, of which the first entitled “On Trunk of the Tree” was available at the 19th Tehran International Book Fair last May.

In addition, the collection of stories “Novice Lover” written by Bidaj published by Khorshid-e Baran Publications has recently hit the bookstores.
