Seismography at Changuleh Field to end this week
Mojtaba Mohammadu Khorasani told Petroenergy Information Network that preparatory measures for the project have been taken and the Chinese company, Lpeb International Iran Kish, is in charge of 3-D seismographic operations at the field.
He noted that the project will end in 8 months and the Chinese Lpeb International Iran Kish Company will complete the project over 425 sq. km.
Presence of crude oil at Sarvak layer was previously discovered by Exploration Department of National Iranian Oil Company and, currently, 3-D seismographic operations are being conducted on the field.
Changuleh is one of the exploration targets at Anaran block, whose Khami layer is being explored by Norway’s Hydro Company and negotiations for its development are going on with Petroleum Engineering and Development Company.
Referring to interpretation of seismographic data on Amak field, Khorasani also noted that the operation is being carried out by Iranian and Chinese PGP and GRO companies while interpretation of data on Aghajari field has progressed 22 percent. Amak seismographic project on Aghajari, Marun and Kupal oil fields will cover a total area of 3,000 sq. km.
The project is being carried out by a consortium comprising Oil Exploration Operations Company as well as exploration department of China’s national oil company, BGP. The project aims at studying deep layers of the said fields. Aghajari oil field is located 90 km southeast of Ahvaz near Marun, Pazenan, Kerenj, and Ramshir oil fields.
