HILLA (AFP) - A bomb attack Wednesday killed seven members of an Iraqi specialized security force, the Facility Protection Service, as they were receiving their salaries south of Baghdad, police said.

The bomb was concealed in a plastic bag inside a government building in the town of Iskandiriyah, north of Hilla, where the security guards had arrived to receive their salaries, a spokesman for Hilla police told AFP. The FPS, responsible for guarding ministry buildings and other government institutions, comprises about 150,000 members and has often been accused of killing Sunni Arabs in the ongoing sectarian conflict that left more than 3,700 people dead in October. ------------------Two US soldiers killed in Iraq

Two more U.S. soldiers were killed and three others wounded in separate incidents in northern Iraq, the military announced Wednesday.

One soldier was killed and the three others wounded when their vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb Tuesday in the northern Salaheddin province.

The other soldier was killed "in a non-battle injury" in the same province on Tuesday, the military added but did not give details on the cause of his death.

The latest fatalities bring the military's losses since the invasion to 2,863, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
