TEHRAN – To establish justice, security must be taken into consideration, and to establish security, justice must be taken into consideration, Interior Minister Mostafa Purmohammadi said here on Wednesday.
“Although these two… have different definitions, a new conceptual, operational… understanding of these two issues must be found,” he told a gathering of Iran’s prosecuting attorneys.“The truth is that the Judiciary is not the only body responsible for establishing justice because it neither has the power nor the means, and in the field of security organs, can not establish security on its own,” he added.
“In a society which is easily affected by a simple rumor… establishing security requires special… means,” Purmohammadi explained.
He said that a single voice can not achieve much, and “We need to be united in our actions.”
Commenting on the accomplishments of the Interior Ministry, he stated, “We were all a part of these achievements, and we are proud that security in our country has reached this level. This is important to us.”
Purmohammadi also said that the Interior Ministry and affiliated bodies should not consider these achievements to be theirs alone because that would offend members of other state organizations
