TOKYO (Bloomberg) -- Japanese petroleum refiners such as Nippon Oil Corp., Idemitsu Kosan Co. and Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K. will raise exports to 10 percent of sales on increased shipments to Asian countries, the Nikkei newspaper reported.

Nippon Oil plans to increase sales of jet fuel and diesel oil to China and Southeast Asian countries 60 percent to 5.8 million kiloliters (36.5 million barrels) in the year ending March 31, the newspaper reported, without saying where it obtained the information.
Idemitsu and Showa Shell will boost exports 30 percent to 1.3 million kiloliters and 2.5 million kiloliters, respectively, the newspaper said.
Japanese refinery exports rose 50 percent to 15.9 million kiloliters last year, to account for 6.4 percent of sales, as domestic demand declined for the fifth straight year, the newspaper said.
