TEHRAN – Some 20,000 tons of products worth $19 million have been exported via Qazvin Province in the 30-day period ended August 31, 2009.

According to IRINN, detergents, tiles, glassware, industrial products, foodstuff, aluminum, and plastics constitute the products that have been exported to Iraq, Syria, Armenia, Afghanistan, Turkey, the Netherlands, Venezuela, and Pakistan.
The exports show a 5 percent drop and a 26 percent rise respectively in terms of weight and value compared to the same period in 2007.
The Managing Director of the province’s Customs Office Alidusti said that 6,000 tons of products valued at $27.3 million have been imported via the province’s customs, indicating a 20 percent growth and a 14 percent fall in terms of weight and value respectively
