Rafsanjani calls on parties to form a coalition

TEHRAN – Expediency Council Chief Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has lamented lack of harmony among different political parties and called on activists to form a coalition.
It was due to the lack of “strong” parties in Iran after Constitutional Revolution that led to the collapse of the movement by Reza Khan, Rafsanjani told the gathering of the Servants of Construction Party late Wednesday.He said it is not possible for people to affect the country’s destiny without a coalition.
He described the diversity of parties in Iran as a sign of people’s interest in party system.
Rafsanjani advised party activists not to be discouraged by some groups that do not like party system.
He also described the parties’ accountability as highly important
