Iran claims title of IBSA World blind futsal Championships

Iran futsal B1 won the championship of the 4th International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Championships and Games in Antalya, Turkey on Saturday.

The Iranian outfit beat France 3-0 in the final and claimed the title. Hamid Shalhavi scored a hat trick as Iran won the title for the first time. Iran had previously defeated France in the group stage.
A total of 1,200 athletes from over 70 countries took part in the 4th International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Championships and Games which is the biggest such tournament ever.
50 Iranian athletes participated in the championship. The event is the qualifiers for the London 2012 Paralympic Games
