Kuwait condemns efforts to damage its ties with Iran

TEHRAN – Kuwait’s Parliament Speaker criticizes certain countries for trying to sow discord between Tehran and Kuwait.

Jassem Mohammad Abdulmohsen Al-Kharafi made the remarks on Monday during a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larjiani, who called him to express his condolences over the demise of his brother.
Al-Kharafi thanked Larijani for his sympathy and expressed hope that relations between the two countries will improve in the near future.
He said Kuwait is interested in increasing relations with Iran, however, some seditionists do not want the relations to be strengthened.
Larijani, for his part, said Iran wants to promote ties with Kuwait, adding, “(We) should not allow devils to damage close and friendly relations between the two countries.
