Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo has voiced his opinion that certain players plying their trade at the Turin giants are not worthy of wearing the jersey, and that investment is necessary in order to recover from a below-par campaign.

The Old Lady finished only seventh in the table in 2010-11 and the Brazil international added that Juve have a squad containing several individuals that fail to meet the standard required.
""Juventus have no other choice but to buy real champions in order to bounce back from last season. The current team has many limitations and the fans are well aware of that,"" Melo blasted, to Lancenet.
""Half-way through the season everybody already knew that the team was not moving in the right direction. There are two or three players who have been heavily criticised by the fans because they did not meet expectations. They are not worthy of the Juventus jersey and are not good enough to fight for the title.""
Melo then looked back at his first season at Juventus following his move from Fiorentina in 2009, and admitted that he struggled to make an impact, but is more satisfied with his performances last term.
""I received my fair share of criticism as well in my first season, but I am proud with how I bounced back. From a personal point of view, it has been a positive season."" (Source: Goal)
