TEHRAN – In a meeting with President Hassan Rouhani and his cabinet members late on Tuesday the Supreme Leader thanked the government and the nuclear team’s “sincere and serious” efforts.

The remarks by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei came after Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) on Tuesday agreed on final deal on Iran’s nuclear program, ending 12 years of nuclear disputes between Iran and the West.

For his part, the president thanked the Leader for his supports and guidelines to the government and the nuclear team in the process of negotiations.

Rouhani also expressed hope that the deal would mark an end to baseless charges against Iran and open a new chapter in the country’s path toward development.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader said “spiritual support” is the main factor to solve all the problems.

The Leader also said that “fair judgment” about the former officials is one of Imam Ali’s teachings in Nahj al-Balagha.

It is the people’s “thoughtful judgments” that reveals the “righteous” official, he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader stated that “to love people from the heart” and “to be kind and lenient toward them” are other teachings of Imam Ali.
