High-ranking Russian officials to attend Tehran Intl. Book Fair
TEHRAN – Several high-ranking Russian cultural officials are scheduled to attend the 29th Tehran International Book Fair as Russia is the guest of honor at the event, which will open on May 5.
Among the officials are the general director of Russia’s International Book Exhibitions and Fairs, Sergey Kaykin, and the director of Russia’ s Federal Agency on Culture and Cinema, Mikhail Shvydkoi, the organizers announced in a press release on Saturday.
The deputy director of the Russian Federal Agency on Press and Mass Communications, Vladimir Grigoryev, and a group of Russian writers will also visit the book fair.
Russia plans to arrange a vast variety of cultural programs during the fair to introduce more of the country.
“Tomorrow Is Too Late to Read” is the motto of the 29th edition of the fair, which will run until May 15.
