Iranian art workshops open at Milad Tower

Managing Director of Milad Tower Farzad Hushyar, Chairman of the Tehran City Council Mehdi Chamran, Tehran City Council member Ahmad Masjed-Jamei and a group of artists attended the opening ceremony.
Over 20 Iranian artisans are offering their products in different fields including miniature, calligraphy, illumination, painting, earthenware, intarsia and many more to visitors, Hushyar said at the opening ceremony.
“Did-e Baz” Gallery of the tower is hosting the event every day where the artists take part, create and sell their products for over one month, he added.
Hushyar invited all interested artists to collaborate in the program to help introduce Iranian arts which are rooted in Persian rituals and identity.
The Tower is also hosting the first expo of paintings where a collection of works by veterans is on display, Hushyar said.
He added that additional seasonal expos are planned for the future.
