TEHRAN -- Entrepreneurship is not a responsibility of a member of the parliament but it is a social responsibility, therefore, we are going to create a committee on employment and entrepreneurship in the parliament (Majlis), said MP Soheila Jelodorazdeh here on Saturday.
According to International Labor Organization (ILO), a main factor for women’s involvement in economic activities and management fields is allocation of a share of 30 percent for women in every company’s board of directors, Iscanews quoted Jelodarzadeh as saying.
Lowering women’s poverty rate is a priority of the Majlis, she said, adding that MP will make efforts to increase women’s involvement in economic activities, said Jelodarzadeh.
The MP put the emphasis on the current year’s motto “Resistance Economy, Action and Implementation,” adding that the women’s committee of the Majils is planning to remove any barrier which impedes women’s employment in the coming four years and it seems that no Iranian woman should face poverty in the coming 4 years.
It seems that cooperative companies are better places of work for university graduated girls, as they can experience teamwork and use their expertise, she maintained.
