Filmmaker Ebrahim Hatamikia undergoes operation

TEHRAN -- Ebrahim Hatamikia, who is mostly known for his films on the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, has undergone an operation at Tehran’s Baqiyatollah Hospital to remove gallstones, some Persian news websites announced on Sunday.

The 55-year-old filmmaker was in good condition and was released from the hospital on Monday.

He is director of acclaimed movies “Bodyguard”, “Che”, “From Kharkeh to Rhine” and “The Glass Agency”.
