TEHRAN – United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tehran Gary Lewis was summoned to the Foreign Ministry to hear complaint about what was called his ‘unconventional and interventionist’ statement, IRNA reported on Monday.

Peyman Saadat, director of the International Affairs, Environment Protection and Sustainable Development Department of the Foreign Ministry, conveyed the complaint to Mr. Lewis.

The Foreign Ministry official told Mr. Lewis that the specialized agencies of the United Nations in Iran should operate in the context of their specified tasks.
