Tehran museum to hang works by Qajar era female calligraphers

TEHRAN – Works by Iranian female calligraphers from the Qajar period (1794-1925) are slated be showcased in an exhibition, which will open at the Imam Ali (AS) Religious Arts Museum in Tehran on Thursday.
The organizers of the exhibition also plan to commemorate female calligraphers Elaheh Khatami, Soghra Hosseini, Azhar Shoraka, Zohreh Abbasi and Zohreh Reisossadati during the opening ceremony of the exhibit, which will run until April 20.
