TEHRAN – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri and Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan have sent congratulatory messages to top Iraqi military officials, hailing the full liberation of the city of Mosul from Daesh, Tasnim reported on Monday.

They wrote letters to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Defense Minister Erfan Mahmoud al-Hayali, Commander of Iraq's Badr Brigade Hadi al-Ameri, and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, the deputy head of the Arab country’s Popular Mobilization Units, also known as Hashd al-Shaabi.
