TEHRAN – Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani visited the western province of Kermanshah on Sunday to closely watch the quake-hit regions and express sympathy with the families who lost loved ones in the devastating earthquake.

During his visit, Larijani called for immediate action to reconstruct the destroyed houses, ISNA reported.

He also urged banks to facilitate the process of providing loans to rebuild houses.

Last Sunday, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Kermanshah Province, leaving around 440 people dead and more than 9,000 injured.
