TEHRAN – British Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt is set to arrive in Tehran on Monday for talks with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, IRNA reported on Sunday.

This is Hunt’s first visit to Tehran since he took office on July 9.

Zarif and Hunt previously talked on the phone on November 5, when Hunt underlined his country’s commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal.

The chief British diplomat is also slated to meet with Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, to discuss regional and bilateral issues.
