Mountaineer killed in avalanche in Tehran

TEHRAN – An Iranian mountaineer has been killed after an avalanche in Tochal, north of the Iranian capital of Tehran.

Alaeddin Jamali, 63, was involved in an avalanche around 11 a.m. and was killed, ISNA reported.

Iran Meteorological Organization had warned of an avalanche risk in the mountains.
