TEDPIX falls nearly 11,000 points on Monday

TEHRAN- TEDPIX, the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), lost 10,968 points to 1.408 million on Monday.

As reported, over 6.601 billion securities worth 37.447 trillion rials (about $129 million) were traded at the TSE.

The first market’s index lost 10,652 points, and the second market’s index dropped 13,969 points. 

TEDPIX rose 131,000 points (10.21 percent) to 1.414 million points in the past Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).

As reported, it was the highest weekly rise during the current Iranian calendar year (began on March 21).

After a long period of decline, the stock market transactions finally returned to the upward cycle from the last two weeks and under the influence of the decisions taken by the government and the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO), and increased the hope of shareholders to invest again in this market and obtain a reasonable return from it.
