Constitutional Council confirms surge in voter turnout for parliamentary elections

TEHRAN- Participation in the current parliamentary elections has surpassed that of the previous term, as stated by Constitutional Council spokesperson Hadi Tahan Nazif.

During a press briefing on Friday, Tahan Nazif described the voter turnout as "good," highlighting the increased engagement compared to past elections. 

He emphasized that preparations for the March 1 elections had been underway for months, involving various executive bodies and law enforcement agencies.

Speaking on the voting process, Tahan Nazif assured that it is proceeding smoothly without significant problems. 

He encouraged citizens not to delay their participation until later hours.

"So far, we haven't encountered any major issues in the voting process," he concluded.
