Aq-Gol wetland, measuring some 830 hectares in the west-central province of Hamedan, is filled again with water thanks to heavy rainfall over the past months.

The wetland has become one of the main places for bird wintering, hosting ducks, herons, geese, cormorants, cranes, Eurasian teals, and avocets.
