TEHRAN - Iran will hold a trade show dedicated to ecotourism, camping, and related industries from Sept. 3 to 6 at Shah-e Aftab International Fairground in southern Tehran, a tourism official said on Monday.

Mostafa Fatemi, director-general of domestic tourism development at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, said the exhibition is among the largest events in the ecotourism sector, attracting major domestic and foreign companies each year, ISNA reported.

Fatemi said the exhibition will cover more than 13,000 square meters of net space and 30,000 square meters of total display area, with wide participation from industry stakeholders.

The event will take place across four halls, featuring camping and mountaineering equipment, off-road vehicles, four-wheel-drive cars and other ecotourism-related products.

Fatemi said the exhibition aims to encourage domestic travel, reduce foreign currency outflow, and promote responsible tourism and environmental protection.
