Ayatollah Khamenei insist the Islamic Republic would in no way compromise on confronting the mercenaries
TEHRAN – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called on the Iranian nation to maintain their unity, stressing that such a united nation will overcome any enmity.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a speech regarding the recent violent acts committed by rioters in Iran.
In recent days, protests and public gatherings have been held in several Iranian cities across the country, primarily in response to economic challenges faced by segments of society.
Taking advantage of the situation, several groups of rioters started to engage in acts of “terrorism” and “sabotage” in certain cities across the country.
Iranian officials have acknowledged the legitimacy of these demands, stressing that citizens’ economic concerns are valid and must be addressed. The government has also adopted measures aimed at addressing the root causes of current economic hardships.
Authorities have emphasized that the majority of demonstrators have expressed their demands peacefully and within legal frameworks. Senior officials have underlined a clear distinction between peaceful protesters and individuals who seek to exploit public grievances for disruptive or violent purposes.
In an interventionist move, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed support for the rioters, saying that if Iran shoots protesters, Washington would come to their rescue.
Speaking on the recent developments in the country, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution called on the Iranian people to maintain and strengthen their unity and preparedness, stressing, "A united nation would overcome any enemy."
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the Islamic Republic would in no way compromise on confronting the mercenaries who act in the interest of foreign enemies.
Everyone should know that the Islamic establishment came to power with the sacrifice of hundreds of noble people, and it would not shy away from confronting those who engage in acts of sabotage, he underlined.
Referring to the violent incidents in certain cities on Thursday night, Ayatollah Khamenei castigated those who have damaged public properties in order to please the president of the United States.

He also referred to Trump's remarks in which who admitted that he was in charge of the 12-day war initiated by the Israeli regime on Iran in June and killed hundreds of Iranian ordinary citizens, military personnel, and scientists.
