TEHRAN – Iran lost to China 33-23 in Group IV of the 2026 Asian Handball Championship on Sunday.

Team Melli, who had defeated India and Australia in Group IV, will face Jordan in the 11th place on Tuesday.

The 2026 Asian Men's Handball Championship is the 22nd edition of the Asian Men's Handball Championship, the biennial international men's handball championship of Asia and Oceania organized by AHF.

The tournament is held from Jan. 15 to 29 in Sabah Al-Salem, Kuwait.
