SESTRIERE, Italy Croatian teenager Janica Kostelic swept to her fourth consecutive World Cup Slalom victory of the season on Wednesday.

Kostelic led after the first leg on Sestriere's Giovanni Agnelli piste and waltzed through the 63-gate second run in 53.00 seconds for a provisional combined winning time of one minute 43.47 seconds.

Norway's Trine Bakke was second in 1:43.88 and Kristina Koznick of the United States was third in 1:43.95.

Henna Raita, second at the halfway stage of the race, skied out on the second run and failed in her bid to give Finland an historic first World Cup win.

Austria's overall World Cup champion Renate Goetschl fell on the first run while current leader Martina Ertl of Germany was disqualified for using skis which were too narrow under the boot.

Kostelic won at Park City and Aspen in the United States last month and has now won twice at Sestriere in the past fortnight.

She also won two Slalom races immediately before her season-ending injury a year ago and has therefore triumphed in the last six Slalom races in which she has competed.
