DAMAVAND Over 5 tons of edible lobster packed at Jajroud (eastern Tehran) Packing Plant last year was exported to Europe.

Head of Damavand Veterinary Office Khalil Babakhani specified them as "Astacvs" and "Leptodvctylvs", IRNA reported.

He said the lobsters have been caught at Caspian Sea, and after being packed at Jajroud plant have been exported to European countries, including Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. He also said a project is currently under way for imminent growing of precious lobsters in the rivers to the east of Tehran.
