Rls.15bn Allocated for Leisure of School Pupils

AFARINESH Deputy Minister of Education Rahim Ebadi has announced the allocation of 15 billion rials to fund leisure programs for school children this year. He said he expected the programs to benefit some 3.5 million pupils this year.

He further said that leisure programs are to go in full swing this summer and will be handled by pupils' organizations, although schools will already start enrolling by next week. Inefficient Administrators Hamper Development of Country

HAMSHAHRI A spokesman for the Ministry of Housing in the southern city of Chabahar said that the ministry has plans to construct 560,000 housing units in cities and villages across the country this year. Ali Abdolalizadeh further said that only 2 percent of the 56,000 billion rials in cost will be allocated by the government; the remainder is to be paid for by applicants.

Municipalities Face Most Complains

QODS Hojjatoleslam Ra'issi, chief of the State Inspectorate Organization (SIO), said that the great number of services being rendered by municipalities explains why these government institutions have the most violations of law among organizations of the country.

He further suggested that new rules and regulations, skilled personnel, in-service education, administrative training, etc. should be utilized to reduce people's dissatisfaction with municipal service.
