TEHRAN Elite Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has dismantled a corrupt gang involved in kidnapping and raping young girls in the city of Qom, the Persian daily ****Jomhuri-e Eslami**** said on Saturday.

Members of the gang duped young girls in downtown city streets and after taking them to abandoned citadels near the city collectively raped them, it said.

Some of the kidnappers were notorious for abduction and depravity and had already served prison terms, the paper added.
