TEHRAN-As summer approaches and schools begin their summer holidays, the historical province of Hamedan is preparing to receive Iranian and foreign tourists.

The managing director of the Hamedan Touring and Tourism Organization, Farhad Farzaneh, announced, "A total of 7 hotels and 21 guest houses have been prepared in various locations of this province. In the near future, 15 temporary lodging sites and 90 tents will be set up for tourists in various parts of the province, including Alisadr Cave." He stated that all facilities are supervised by the Hamedan Touring and Tourism Organization and that unlicensed facilities would be shut down.

Farzaneh said, "The two summering locations of Abbasabad and Sad-e Ekbatan near Hamedan will be prepared for the arrival of tourists. Also, 100 tents will be set up for tourists in Luna Park in this city." He also mentioned that the Summer Facilities Center has been established to assist tourists in Hamedan Province.

Farzaneh added, "The Hamedan Touring and Tourism Organization has distributed a total of 8000 English-Persian guide books to tourists in addition to announcing the prices of hotel rooms." The are many unique historical monuments in Hamedan Province including Alisadr Cave, Hegmataneh Hill (Ecbatana), Alavian Dome, the tombs of Bou-Ali Sina and Baba Taher, and the Abbasabad Complex, which make it one of the prominent tourism poles of Iran.

According to current statistics, over 2 million Iranian and foreign tourists visit this province every year.
