TEHRAN -- Managing editor and publisher of 'Abrar' group of newspapers Mohammad Safizadeh was summoned to court Tuesday, IRNA reported.

The newspaper's public relations department said that he was summoned to Branch 1410 of Judicial Complex for Government Employees which was presided by the Judge Saeed Mortazavi who read out the complaints against him.

Over 12 cases are pending against the Abrar Daily, and its economic and sport editions.

The report said that the plaintiffs include: Head of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and its finance director, the Telecommunication Company of Iran, minister of agricultural jihad, privatization organization and the football federation.

Safizadeh was temporarily released by posting a rls 150 million bond.
