MOSCOW -- Russian Minister for Atomic Energy Alexander Rumyantsev said on Friday that fuel for the newly completed first phase of the nuclear power station in Iran would be supplied by Russia while the first batch of spent nuclear fuel would return to Russia in four years after the commissioning of the station, IRNA reported.

"An agreement with Iran on the import of spent nuclear fuel in Russia could be signed in August," said the minister.

Meanwhile, Russian specialists are continuing construction work on the Iranian Power Plant in Bushehr. In August, they will begin installing the main turbine of the power plant's unit, Rumyantsev said.
