Ecuador sees no need for OPEC cut, oil to rise

QUITO (Reuters) - Ecuador sees no need for OPEC to cut output at its next meeting because it expects world oil prices to rebound close to $70 per barrel by late 2009, Oil Minister Derlis Palacios told Reuters Tuesday.

Palacios said this week’s drop in prices was due to speculation and not market fundamentals.
