TEHRAN- The daily production of gasoline in Iran stands at 105 million liters, Nasser Ashouri, the secretary general of Iran’s Oil Refining Industry Contractors Association (ORICA), announced in a press conference on Monday.

He also announced that the third phase of Persian Gulf Star Refinery will be officially put into operation during this year’s Ten-Day Dawn (February 1-10, marking the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution), Tasnim news agency reported.

The refinery in the southern province of Hormozgan is the first of its kind designed based on gas condensate feedstock received from South Pars gas field which Iran shares with Qatar in the Persian Gulf.

It is planned to play a big role to turn Iran into an exporter of gasoline.
