ICOFC produces 240 mcm/d of gas in central oil fields
TEHRAN - The production manager of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) announced the daily extraction of 240 million cubic meters of gas in these regions, saying: “More than two million cubic meters of this amount is obtained from the collection of flare gases, which after processing and liquefaction, is injected into the national network.
Ali Rezaei, in an interview with Shana, said the company is contributing to the gas supply in the country by utilizing maximum capacity and implementing flare-free production plans.
He added that approximately two million cubic meters of this volume is related to the collection of flare gases, which, after collection and processing is injected into the national gas network; while, around 28 million cubic meters of this production is from the reproduction of stored gas.
Rezaei considered the collection and injection of gases into the consumption cycle as a step towards increasing efficiency, reducing pollution and preserving the country's national assets and emphasized that this approach, along with the optimal utilization of gas storage fields, is a continuous priority for the company.
