TEHRAN - A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the enemies are doomed to sustain defeat in the face of the Iranian nation’s willpower despite all the plots they have hatched over the past 47 years.

“The outcome of all these hostile moves has been nothing but defeat against the Iranian nation’s will,” said Brigadier General Abdureza Abed, the commander of the Khatam ol-Anbiya Construction Unit, the engineering and construction wing of the IRGC.

“At this sensitive juncture, the enemies still seek to confront the Iranian nation, but they will fail as in the past,” the top general noted.

He said the Iranian people will firmly keep moving on the path to progress and power with the guidelines of the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

His comments come as the enemies have been conspiring to deal a blow to the Islamic Republic since the triumph of the 1979 Iran’s Islamic Revolution.

However, Iranians have remained vigilant in the face of enemy plots all along and have remained united against conspiracies.
