Trade process ongoing, import of goods facilitated
TEHRAN- An official, while pointing out that “we have facilitated the trade process”, said: “Currently, trade is ongoing and the import of goods is being carried out smoothly.”
According to a Mehr News Agency report, following the aggression by the Israeli regime and the United States against our country, concerns grew regarding possible disruptions in the country's trade process. However, the reality is that Iran has high resilience due to its past experiences in overcoming numerous crises, and economic actors and government officials are trying with all their might to ensure no disruption occurs in economic activities.
In this regard, Amir Roshanbakhsh Ghanbari, Deputy Head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization, told Mehr: “Currently, the country's trade is ongoing, and almost all land corridors are active, except for some borders affected by the war conditions.”
He added: “Furthermore, based on a directive we received, we have facilitated the trade process. Currently, the import of goods is being carried out easily, and previous regulations have been temporarily lifted.”
Roshanbakhsh stated: “In the field of exports, we have also imposed restrictions on some goods that are needed by the country under war conditions.”
The Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Organization continued: “The automatic extension of the validity of commercial cards whose validity had expired since the beginning of the imposed war has also been carried out, and they have been extended until Khordad 1405 (May-June 2026). Also, all systems are active, and all customs offices in the country are operational.”
He emphasized: “Percentage-based and credit-based clearance has also been activated to expedite the clearance of goods.”
Roshanbakhsh said: “Therefore, the country's trade process is currently being carried out diligently.”
