    TEHRAN – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its latest Regional Economic Outlook report for the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia has ranked Iran 26th among the countries of the mentioned regions in terms of foreign debt.

    Foreign debt falls 25%

    TEHRAN – Iran’s foreign debt stood at about $6.5 billion at the end of the tenth month of the past Iranian calendar year 1401 (January 20), down 25.15 percent from $9.067 billion at the end of the year 1400 (March 20, 2022), Fars news agency reported.

    Foreign debt falls more than 41%: CBI

    TEHRAN – The latest data released by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) show that the country’s foreign debt stood at $6.425 billion at the end of the eighth Iranian calendar month of Aban (November 21, 2022), down more than 41 percent from $9.067 billion at the end of the previous year (March 20).
