But too much of the Western and Israeli coverage treats the crisis as a political morality play: headlines and opinion pages tie shortages to government failure or geopolitics, while technical causes and practical solutions get sidelined. That framing misdirects policy debate and risks turning humanitarian offers of help into diplomatic theater.
