TEHRAN -- A 34 year-old tableau by the Russian surrealist Marc Chagall (1887-1985) is to go on display today at Niavran Cultural Complex.

Following the new plan displaying museum works, several works including “Nassereddin Shah’s Chariot”, “Sultan Omman’s Sword”, as well as several works by Pablo Picasso and Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali have so far been on exhibit at the complex.

Chagall is recognized as one of the most significant painters and graphic artists of the 20th century. His work is touched with a humor and fantasy that finds a resonance in the subconscious. Chagall's personal and unique imagery is often suffused with exquisite poetic inspiration.
