Swift Leads Way as Grizzlies Upset Duncan-Less Spurs
Swift had 14 points and eight rebounds to lead a balanced Memphis attack against the defending NBA champions, who lost Duncan to an ankle injury in the first quarter.
Duncan had collected 10 points when he left the game. The team described his injury as minor and said an MRI scan would be carried out Tuesday.
Jason Williams added 13 points and seven assists for Memphis, which beat the Spurs for the first time since the franchise moved from Vancouver to Memphis three seasons ago.
Wesley Person and Earl Watson each added 12 points for the Grizzlies.
Radoslav Nesterovic and Manu Ginobili had 13 points each for the Spurs, with Nesterovic also hauling down 14 rebounds. Ron Mercer and Malik Rose added 10 points for San Antonio, which was without Tony Parker.
San Antonio has lost both its road games this season.
